Is College Education a Bubble

September 6, 2010

Please note that the only apparent place to get student loans is now the U. S. Government. The entity that knows more about your needs and wants than even yourselves. The education bubble may not burst today, but it surely must.

Look at the housing bubble, a similar situation with Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac holding or guaranteeing most of the mortgages  loans in the US and maybe some foreign nations also.  This situation took several years to develop, but develop it has and continues.

Could 62 Million Homes Be Foreclosure-Proof? Is yours one of them?

August 27, 2010

When I read this it brought back the memory of a story told us by one of our school families about one of their acquaintances. Seems like this acquaintance had fallen on hard times and was several months behind in his mortgage payments. The time frame was about the start or the first few months of the Obama regime. Anyway the acquaintance wrote to someone and asked for some Obama sized relief.  Several months passed with the acquaintance making no further payments, then he got the deed to his condo with a letter stating something to the effect that they couldn’t find the mortgage note and so he now owned the condo free and clear. When we first heard this we just thought that the mortgage had passed through the hands of so many financial institutions that it had been lost in the paper work shuffle.

Maybe the mortgage was lost or this article could be the answer?

This article most likely has the real reason for the failures we are experiencing. If we have other problems, like health care, perhaps we should look for the same kinds of causes.
